Kia ora. Ko Nat tōku ingoa. I have been working at Helensville birthing centre since October 2021. Prior to that I was an LMC midwife for 5 years, worked at Waitākere hospital for 18 months and had a wee break from midwifery during which I returned to my previous work as an early childhood teacher. I still do a little LMC work from time to time and love being able to do both. I have 2 tamariki of my own who are both now at school. I love watching people become parents and enjoy helping them in that journey. I believe that pregnancy and childbirth are unique to every person and should be respected as such. I believe in sharing in the joy that pēpi bring to whānau. I believe in partnership, working together with whānau and with other health professionals. I endeavour to empower people to make decisions for their care by ensuring they are well informed. I believe in people having choices in their care and always ensure they know that they do have choices. I look forward to meeting you at the centre 🙂
