Helensville Birthing Centre has welcomed the 1,000th baby to be born there since opening in 2000 in its current guise as a primary maternity facility.

The Helensville Birthing Centre is wanting to recruit a new Director to its Board as well as a new Chairperson.

The Kaukapakapa Scout Group have made a special delivery of their own by giving kitset chocolate cake mixes to the nursing and midwife teams at Helensville Birthing Centre.

17 local women have graduated from the Helensville Birthing Centre Breastfeeding Peer Support programme and will now have the skills to help and support other mothers with their breastfeeding journeys.
